The dates for 2008 are confirmed as Friday 15th to Sunday 17th August. The festival will be remaining the same size as in 2007, at 10,000 people.

Organised by folk duo It's Jo and Danny, there's live music with lots of folk and folktronica bands, plus film, literature, workshop and children's areas, and DJs.

Beirut were the Friday headliner but have cancelled all their summer shows, and so are replaced by Spiritualized with Super Furry Animals the Saturday headliner, and folk godfathers Pentangle top the Sunday. Richard Thompson and Howlin' Rain (featuring members of Comets On Fire and Sunburned Hand of the Man), Badly Drawn Boy, Laura Marling, Black Mountain, The National, Nina Nistasia, and School Of Language have also been named. For the full line-up details, stage and day splits, click here.

Tickets are priced at £105 for the weekend including on-site camping and parking, with children aged 12 and under free. Live-in vehicles are an additional £35. Click here to buy.

The site will be open from 10pm on Thursday 14th August. Please note that the entertainment starts at midday on Friday. Returning this year will be the campfire ceilidhs, a second stage and DJ tent. The festival will be remaining the same size as in 2007, at 10,000 people. The festival offers plenty of live music with lots of folk and folktronica bands, plus film in a cinema tent, dusk till dawn camp fire, massage and therapists, food, very late bars, live soundtracks, rivers, late night jamming sessions, literature, healing area, plenty of trees for shade, workshop and children's areas, green field, comedy on the Solar Powered Milk float stage and mountains.

For the third year running, the Institute of Physics (IOP)'s team of physics buskers will amaze and entertain festival goers. The Physics in the Field team will be at the festival, with the aim of getting revellers of all ages to have a go at their physics tricks. They will also be performing some incredible physics shows. 'Rock in 11 Dimensions' with its rock guitars and mind-bending animations will get audiences thinking in multiple dimensions and take them back to the origins of matter. 'Top Ten Myths' will uncover the truth behind some urban science myths.

The children's area is set in the wonderful Victorian Walled Garden in a safe and happy environment (Opening times: 10am to 6pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday). A full weekend of activities includes story-telling, arts and crafts, face painting, music workshops, puppet making, puppet shows, mask making, comedy and clowning, an opportunity of taking part in the green man children's parade on Sunday, film making workshops and a chance to have your own animation shown in the film tent. An electronic tracking service is available for hire for parents who are worried that their child may become lost at the festival.

In the Literature Tent the best of up and coming Welsh and International authors and the return of the Mojo interview with one of the main artists appearing at the festival. Artists include In conversation with Danny Thompson, Rachel Trezise, Charlotte Grieg, Jeb Loy Nichols, Matthew Scott, Travis Elborough, Robert Kirby, John Williams, Owen Sheers, The Song Of Orpheus (Tony Lloyd & Sue Harris), and Tu Chwith. Andri Snær Magnason, Iceland's lauded author, commentator and environmentalist will give a talk at this year's festival.

The Folk Exchange (open mic sessions) take place on the Solar Powered Milk Float Stage. A chance to share your talent whilst leaving no carbon footprint. Comedy and enlightened speakers will be exploring issues from every side and Ringo Bingo offers you the chance to gamble with a clear conscience. Plus Eco housing, 503 Theatre, comedy, green speakers, alternative energy stalls, organic produce, and those rather nice carved wooden figures.

There will also be a new End Up Bar which is the late bar open long into the night by the bonfire and Rumpus room with a piano where all ivory tinklers are welcome.

A shuttle bus will probably run from Abergavenny train station to the festival site all day and into the night on the Thursday and Friday, and again from the festival site to Abergavenny train station throughout Sunday and until Monday morning.

More information will be here when available.
