This massive two day over 18s event covers the entire spectrum of dance music with musicians, DJs and performers entertaining up to 50,000 people which is held on the last weekend of July each year.

The ninth Global Gathering is confirmed for Friday 24th & Saturday 25th July 2009 at Long Marston Airfield, nr. Stratford on Avon, Warwickshire.

The line-up for 2009 includes The Prodigy, Orbital, and Pendulum will be the headliners with Paul van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Tiga, Adam Beyer, Eric Prydz, John Digweed, Does It Offend You Yeah?, Sasha, Richie Hawtin, Axwell, Dubfire, Erol Alkan, Fedde Le Grand, James Zabiela, Judge Jules, ATB, Plump DJs, Digitalism, Stanton Warriors, Locodice, Scratch Perverts, Shapeshifters, Tidy Boys, Hixxy, Noisia, and many more. Global Gathering have made Markus Schulz the official 2009 Festival Resident. For the line-up details as available please click here.

Brand new for 2009 is 'The Godskitchen Boombox', a colossal rectangular structure that will house the state-of-the-art DJ equipment in the Godskitchen Arena and will also act as a giant screen from which lighting, LED's and visuals will be projected in perfect synchronisation with the music.

This year Global Gathering introduced a ticket scheme which allowed festival goers to pay for tickets by putting down a £50 deposit - the balance must be paid before midnight on Friday 15th May 2009.

Tickets are on sale at the price of £115 for the whole event, or £59.50 for Saturday only. To buy tickets or pay a deposit, click here.

NOTE: this is an over-18s only event.

The event will run from 5pm-2am on the Friday and 2pm-6am on the Saturday.

The campsite has hot showers and an outdoor cinema. As well as the music there's usually The Urban Village with hip-hop DJs, skate ramps, BMX riders, break dancers and graffiti artists, and extreme rides in the fairground.

Global Gathering has now been granted a permanent license, meaning that the festival will be a guaranteed fixture on the music events calendar. The license, which received no public objections, has been granted to allow the event breathing space to grow even bigger year on year.

More information will be here when available.
