Run by Michael Eavis (of Glastonbury Festival) for 20 years, and set in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey, it has seen many memorable performances over the years. This year the event takes place on Saturday 6th August, 2016. Gates open 6pm.

This unique event has grown in stature over the years and is already a high spot in the musical calendar of the South West. It's a real occasion, with stage screeens, beautiful water fountains, lights, candelabra, picnics, and a fireworks finale.

Line-up

Van Morrison will headline 20th Glastonbury Extravaganza, with special guest Jamie Cullum, and opening the show will be Wells Cathedral School Big Band.

Advance tickets are priced at £35 adult (£40 on the night) and £20 for an accompanied child aged 6 to 16 years. On the gate prices will be £40 for adults, and £25 for a child (6-16). Accompanied children aged five and under do not require a ticket.Note - Some card transactions will carry a surcharge. This will be no more than £3.50 per transaction.

Tickets can also be bought in person at the Abbey Shop where there is free collection or £1.50 delivery charge. Or by posting a cheque/postal order made payable to Glastonbury Festivals Ltd, to Glastonbury Extravaganza, 28 Northload Street, Glastonbury, Somerset, BA6 9JJ indicating number of tickets required, postal details and delivery fee of £1.50 per order.

Getting there

A free park and ride service from Clarks Village in Street operates both nights from 5pm and will shuttle people to and from the Abbey.

Camping

Camping has SOLD OUT. This year sees the return of the exclusive campsite for visitors to stay for the whole weekend, and make the most of the town;  with shuttle bus service to the Abbey provided. The campsite has been expanded for 2016, allowing visitors to make the most of their stay in the Vale of Avalon.
