Glastonbury Festival 2000
Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th June 2000Worthy Farm, Pilton, nr Glastonbury, Somerset, England
£89 including booking fee and postage
I had been trying to get to Glastonbury for the last few years, and when I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my spine and hips eighteen months ago, I thought not only would I never get to Glastonbury, but that I probably wouldn't go anywhere ever again.
However, I had bargained without my sons, who are regular Glastonbury goers, who decided to get me an early 50th birthday present - a prepaid ticket to Glastonbury. (So much for Annie being too old!).
So I couldn't let the present go to waste, and it was with much trepidation that we set out on the Wednesday and headed for Somerset. What an absolute blast. I can only say that it has to rank as one of the best experiences of my life and I actually think it should be compulsory for everyone to go, at least once in their life. I'm still coming down from the experience, and have had my faith in humanity, and in myself restored. To Michael Eavis I can only say, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the best time ever.
