Having been to the last 4 festivals with wife, kids and kids pals, i must say that 2000 was the worst of the lot - even the 2 mud-fests were better.

The line-up seems to have lost it's edge over the last couple of years - The Corrs, Macy Gray, Pet Shop Boys - i mean!

Moreover:

  • Even a blind man can see what happens around the entry gates with the ' i'll get you in for a tenner ' offers, so why don't security move in - I think we all know why! The whole situation around these gates, especially at night, leads to a general feeling of insecurity.
  • Pennyless twats sitting on a crate of stella, selling cans at £2 a go would seem to suggest that the same twat and his mates have pinched the loot from some poor soul's tent or car. Again, no action seems to be taken.
  • This year, the whole site was far too crowded. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and the camper van field E14 was already packed - by Friday it was way over the top.
  • Surely the food sellers should be made to clear their frontages regularly - we expect to have to move the odd paper plate and discarded burger, but we shouldn't have to prop ourselves on about 20 layers of the foul-smelling stuff.

I could go on, but i've got to earn some money for 2001.
