Offering reggae, traditional and contemporary folk, African, dancehall, and dub, The Gateway International Roots Music Festival takes place from Friday 27th February until Saturday 14th March and offers an eclectic mix of acts from the roots music scene. Nestled on the edge of the Lake District, Kendal's Brewery Arts Centre plays host to nearly three weeks of gigs from performers from all over the world.

The line-up includes Macka B, Edward II, Fairport Convention, Phil Cool, Ken Nicol, Harare, Pama International, One love Sound System, Jim Moray, Wheeler Street, Moya Brennan, and Daby Toure.
