The Galtres Festival now in its seventh year will be taking place over three days this year on August bank holiday weekend, from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th August once again at Crayke, near York, Yorkshire.

Line-up

British Sea Power will headline Friday night, The Charlatans headline Saturday, and Levellers will headline Sunday night playing 'Levelling The Land' live. The August Bank Holiday weekend will see around 100 bands on five stages including Puressence, Chris Helme, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Dave Keegan, David Ward Maclean, King Courgette, Marbled, Mark Wynn, Matt Grace, Middleman, Pete David & the Payroll Union, Ryan Spendlove, Oh My Gospel!, The Littlemores, Sarah Horn & James Cudworth, Heather Findlay, Puressence, Mostly Autumn, The Dilfs, The Buccaneers, The Toy Hearts, The Troubadors, Tom Reeve, Tony Black, Blackbeard's Tea Party, Holly Taymar, John Otway, Low Duo, Shatner, and Aelfen. The latest additions are Andy Doonan, David Tattersall, Digital Earth, Doyle and the Fourfathers, Jess Gardham, Karlos Senior, Krakatoa, Paul Bryce, The Band From County Hell, The Day Dream Club, The Watchers, Dream of Apollo, Jiezuberband, Ian Ellwood, and Troubadour.

Tickets

Early bird tickets are no longer available. An adult ticket is priced at £50, child (aged 5 -17 years) tickets are priced at £25, a family ticket (2 adults and up to three children) is priced at £150. Day tickets are priced at £30. There's more than 100 fine beers and ciders all from Yorkshire (from Black Sheep Ale to Ampleforth Abbey Cider), and all the food is all finest quality, local, and mostly organic.

New in 2011 is a comedy club, with the ArtsBarge Cabaret in the Little Top back again, and dozens of workshops and activities for families and children. Expect a full programme of entertainment on five stages of music and cabaret, loads for kids to do from film making to music workshops, and all set in a rural setting overlooking the Vale of York. Music ranges from chart-topping bands to local emerging talent, ranging from pop and acoustic to jazz, blues and ska. Comedy, theatre and offbeat performances at the night cabaret, films, family camping and clean loos too.
