The Futuresonic04 launch event explores the past and future of the DJ, using early recording technologies such as Phono Fiddles, cutting machines, old wax cylinder players versus cutting edge touch sensitive Koss pads, Teremins and laser harps.
A Turntable Remix is planned, celebrating 25 years of the Technics 1200MK2 deck. Several promotors are running Festival club nights and there will be a series of related happenings, workshops and talks.
