Field Day 2009
Field Day which happens on Saturday 1st August is a summer event bringing together many of London's alternative concert and club promoters (Eat Your Own Ears, Adventures In The Beetroot Field, Bugged Out!) to produce a day of music, dancing and maximum hoopla set in London's heartland at Victoria Park. Music is the main driver but it also aims to have the charm of a village fete. There's multiple music stages and fete activities with a twist.
Mogwai will headline the day, with the line-up also including Santigold, The Horrors, Little Boots, Mystery Jets, Juana Molina, Toumani Diabate, Erol Alkan, Final Fantasy, Fake Blood, Aeroplane, S.C.U.M., First Aid Kit, Four Tet, James Yorkston, Apes And Androids, Malcolm Middleton, Fennesz, DJ Skream, and Errors. With more acts still to be confirmed.
The event will run from noon until 10.30pm.
There were limited early bird tickets available, the full price is £29.50. To buy tickets, click here.
Field Day's very own village green will host stalls and activities throughout the daytime, ranging from sack-racing, to whack-the-rat, bowling for bacon, a coconut shy, tombola, and more.
Attendees are advised to use public transport as there are no parking facilities. The nearest tube is Mile End.
The venue is accessible for wheelchair users, with accessible toilets on-site. No glass bottles, no alcohol. The event runs from 11am until 10.30pm.
