Farmer Phil's Festival returns once again as a three day family friendly festival and the 14th edition takes place on Friday 12th to Sunday 14th August 2011 in Ratlinghope, Shropshire.

The festival caters for 2000 people and the organisers call it a family friendly event. There will be food and drink available on site (which caters for vegetarians too), as well as flushing toilets, licensed bars, stalls, craft and merchandise tents, woodcarving, newsagent/tobacconist on site for supplies, and quiet family area. Fireworks finale on Friday night.

Line-up

Easy Star All Stars, Kissmet, Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs, The Beat, Flipron, The Amigos, Elephant Talk, The Mirettes, The Undercover Hippy, The Buffalo Riot, No Spring Chicken, The Wayne Martin Band, Belch Pop Frenzy, The Mouths, Brandon Young, Abelwell Foundation, Tom Doughty, and more. Camping is included in the price and is available before (from Thursday 12th August) and after the festival by arrangement.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £55 weekend ticket including free camping (£65 on the gate). A Friday or Saturday day ticket is priced at £30, and Sunday day tickets are £20. Children aged under 12 are free. To buy tickets, click here.

Entertainment

As well as the main stage, there is an acoustic stage, a cinema, variety/comedy tent, a silent disco, green workshops and discussions on green issues are running through out the weekend, and there is a Sunday farmers market. There's a fancy dress party on the Saturday for everyone the theme is open. Sunday it's the turn of the children in a childrem's fancy dress show. sunday also has a Green Garb Fashion Show. Alternative therapies can be explored in the Healing area.

Kids area

There is a dedicated area for children with Jack the Jester and his friends performing circus workshops, with story tellers and craft and art work shops, circus skills and puppet shows, fancy dress competition for the little ones. Zorbs and fair ground rides. All children's entertainment is free.

Farmer Phil's also promotes sustainability and tries to raise awareness of green life style choices.
