Taiko Festival 2014

The 10th UK Taiko Festival happens in Newton Abbot at Hannah's at Seale Hayne over the weekend of Friday 4th until Sunday 6th July and is a celebration of all things Taiko, featuring a range of performances by groups from all around the UK.

Line-up

The full programme will include Saturday night headliners  Joji Hirota and the London Taiko Drummers, joined by Kagemusha Taiko (hosts from Exeter), Taiko Meantime (Greenwich) and Wadaiko Makoto (Paris). Friday night will see the annual National Youth Taiko Concert, known as the “Feast of Taiko”, while on Saturday lunchtime, “Taiko Beats” will see 10 more groups perform.

Tickets for the weekend are priced at £25.

The 10th UK Taiko Festival will feature the widest range of taiko events yet; including performances, workshops and other opportunities for taiko players and audience from across the UK and beyond to come together to share, inspire and celebrate.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
