A weekend of family fun set in a beautiful location on the the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, 16 miles east of Kendal in the south east corner of Cumbria. This festival now in its sixth year takes place at various venues, pubs, and the campsites around Dent from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th June 2014.

Line-up

More than 25 mainly Acoustic Acts covering Folk, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Jazz & all points in between on 2 stages. Midge Ure headlines, with De Feugo, The Dog Roses, Massy Ferguson, Acoustic Routes, Room Full of Mirrors, The Origin, Roger Davies, Bella Gaffney and the Bric-a-Brac Band, Molly Warburton and the Shady Days, Alex Quinn and the Man in the Street, The Ginjammers, The Hall Brothers, Flatlands and Garage Flowers, King Courgette, Seven Sided Dice and Dent Primary School plus more to come.

Festival wristband

The festival will remain free-to-enter and to help us do this festival wristbands will be on sale again this yea, allowing the wearer to enjoy £1 off a pint of beer and discounts on other drinks! Priced at £5 + £1 p&p, an individual wristband entitles the wearer to £1 off one (single) pint of beer or equivalent drink per visit to the bar.

The Pubs

Squeeze into the Sun Inn or the George & Dragon in the centre of Dent for real ales, home cooked food and a great atmosphere. The music is spontaneous, occasionally organised, so don't miss out on many a good time.

Children's area

A separate area on the festival field will be dedicated to entertaining the children. The festival will host a number of children's games over the weekend with a mix of live entertainment as well.

Accommodation

There are two campsites in Dent village. High Laning which is the larger of the two sites takes pre-bookings which is recommended if you're just there for the festival weekend. Also in the village is Conder Farm which operates on a first-come, first-served basis and has a tendency to begin to fill up in the week preceding the festival. Outside the village and a few miles further up the dale at Cowgill is Ewegales campsite. Various B&Bs are also available. There is free off site parking for ticket holders and all of the venues are wheelchair accessible.
