The Chippenham Folk Festival takes place from Friday 25th to Monday 28th May 2018.

Celebrating its 47th year and having seen many changes since its beginnings in the village of Lacock many years ago, this festival still retains its 'village' atmosphere, and is packed with song, dance, workshops and dance displays. Over 200 events take place within the town centre.

The main ceilidh and concert events take place in the park by the river. Practically every pub and venue in the town is used for a wide range of sessions, workshops and smaller concerts and dances.

The announced acts include:- Bill Crawford, Bram Taylor, Brian Peters, Carolyn Robson, Dave Field, Dave Webber & Anni Fentiman, David Jones, Georgia Lewis Trio, RPR (Ritchie, Parrish, Ritchie), JIB (Jim Mageean, Barrie & Ingrid Temple), Narthern(Barry Coope, Lester Simpson, Jo Freya and Fi Fraser), Granny's Attic, Jeff Warner, Junction 27 Concertina Band, Kadia, Keith Donnelly, LightGarden, Moira Craig, Rosie Upton, Sally Ironmonger, Si Barron, Sound Tradition, Spare Parts & more.

There will also be a full programme of children's events (for season ticket holders only).

There is a large craft marquee, catering facilities and an open air arena in the park. The high street and historic market square are both pedestrianised, and are used throughout the weekend for busking, street theatre and processions and there's a huge street fair on Monday.

Adult 'full season' no camping: £116
Adult 'full season' camping or campervan: £142
Youth (aged 10-15) 'full season' no camping: £58
Youth (aged 10-15) 'full season' camping or campervan: £71
Child (aged 0-9) 'full season': free but needs ticket

Camping

Camping and caravanning are available to season ticket holders on riverside sites in the centre of the town at around £20 per person for the weekend, kids aged 10-15yrs - half price.
