Cheltenham Jazz Festival features big international names alongside the best of British talent, with up to 17,000 festival-goers attending a wide variety of performances across the week. The festival will run from Wednesday 2nd until Monday 7th May 2012.

The diverse programme is accessible through various routes, from performances at the the Town Hall and at the Everyman Theatre, and other venues, to education projects, or live jazz and fine food at restaurants plus a buzzing fringe in bars and clubs around town.

Line-up

This year's Artistic Director is Tony Dudley-Evans, and the first acts confirmed include headliner Steve Winwood, plus Bill Frisell's Beautiful Dreamers, Paloma Faith with the Guy Barker Orchestra, the Marcus Miller Band, the Chris Potter Tentet, Tim Garland's Lighthouse Trio with Gwilym Simcock, Fieldwork featuring Vijay Iyer, Jeff Williams New York Quartet, Steve Lehman and Tyshawn Sorey, Abram Wilson's Running With The Flame project, John Taylor, Helge Lien Trio, the Trondheim Jazz Exchange, Hilde Marie Kjersem, and Jamie Cullum.
