The 12th Buskers Bern Street Music Festival takes place at various venues in Berne in Switzerland and is held from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th August 2015.

Line-up

The programme includes 3 Daft Monkeys, Tankus the Henge, The Undercover Hippy Barto, Le Due e un Quarto, Eclecta Forever, Fatima Dunn, Fischermanns Orchestra, Geschwister Küng, Merel Kamp, and Nakupelle -The Trap.

Expect around 143 artists from 43 different countries at more than 30 venues around town.

Street entertainers from all over the world gather on the streets of Berne's old town for the Buskers Bern Street Music Festival. A head-spinning melange of performers tempt passers-by to part with their hard-earned francs.

Pretty much anything goes at the event, so come with an open mind and pockets full of change. The festival aims to raise the profile of the humble busker and welcomes the cream of the crop, featuring everything from modern dance and smooth jazz to puppetry and comedy acts.

Getting there

Postal buses depart from the western side of the train station By rail, there are services at least hourly to most destinations, including Geneva (1¾ hours), Basel (70 minutes), Interlaken Ost (50 minutes) and Zürich (one hour).

Bern-Belp airport is a small airport with direct flights to/from Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Barcelona and London City with various budget airlines.
