The 16th Bures Music Festivaltakes place in the picturesque village of Bures on the Essex & Suffolk Borders from Wednesday 3rd until Sunday 7th July 2013. Over five days, the festival sees artists from all genres, from rock to blues, pop to choral, and jazz to ska perform, with all proceeds going to local charities.
Choral Evening: Musicology - Songs from musicals, classical arias and popular music from the 40s to the 70s in St. Mary's church.
Jazznights Presents: Snake Davis with the Jazznights Trio, The Watson-Hurley Quartet, Larraine Odell with the Jazznights Trio. Hosted by Roger Odell of Jazznights and Shakatak.
Blues Night: Eddie & The Hot Rods, The Struck Bats, and Ben Smith. Hosted by Stephen Foster of BBC Radio Suffolk.
Absolute Bowie, Dizziyak. 6.30pm-11pm.
B-Fest: Showcase for local young musicians in the marquee. Winners play on Sunday. 11.30am-4pm.
The best local bands with stalls and rides for kids with Ady Johnson, The Blue Meteors, Two Steps Twice, The Story Boys, The Vincent Lapie Trio, and the winner Of B-Fest.
TicketsAn all encompassing weekend ticket is priced at £35.Day tickets: Wednesday £5, Thursday £10, Friday £15 (£17 on the door), Saturday B-Fest £5 (under 16s if accompanied by adult £1), Saturday Bowie £15 (£17 on the door), Sunday £10 (£12 on the door, under 16s £5, under 10s free).
