The 40th Bristol Harbour Festival takes place on Bristol's harbourside with the main festival weekend taking place from Friday 29th until Sunday 31st July 2011, featuring entertainment, fun and frolics for all ages.

To mark the 40th anniversary the festival will include an additional week from Monday 25th until Friday 29th July, during which, the harbour will be animated with dragon boat races, strolling entertainment, music on boats - and more.

Line-up

The weekend starts on Friday evening in Queen Square from 5.30, with a concert on the Colston Hall stage featuring Lade Nade, Laid Blak, Talisman, Alaap and DJ Derek. In addition, the markets and bars in Queen Square and on Waterfront Square will be trading throughout the evening. Performances start from 11.0 on Saturday until 7pm, and from 11am until 6pm on Sunday. The FREE festival will play host to international and local artists on multiple stages.

Queen Square: Lady Nade, Laid Blak, DJ Derek, Phantom Limb, Suzy Condrad, The Magnificent Seven, Dizraeli & The Small God.

Amphitheatre: Poppy Perrezz, Bristol Refugee Rights Band, The Sweenies, Harbour Wind Quintet, Andy Novak, Micro Ceilidh, Gongoozler!, Ichi.

Cascade Steps: Bashema, Radio Banska, Joe Janiak, Paul Garry, Phil King, Rosie Garrard, Danielle, K-Passa.

Dance Village: Atma, Tavaziva Dance, Jean Abreu Dance, Cerebro, Kompany Malakhi, Jeanefer Jean Charles.

Castle Park - Circus Stage: Cirque Bijou, Rod Laver, Circomedia Showcase, So & So, Boothby Graffoe, Desperate Men, The Madness of King George, That's The Way To Do It.
