The Big Session Festival returns on Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June 2008.
Over the weekend, acts from the roots and folk music worlds will perform their own full length sets.
The line-up is now complete, with the Friday headlined by Oysterband, the Saturday by Steve Earle, and Seth Lakeman, and the Sunday by Bellowhead. The bill also includes
Kila, The Blockheads, The Handsome Family, Lau, Cara Dillon, Devon Sproule, Allison Moorer, Vincent Vincent and The Villains, Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit, The Troubadours, Paul Curreri, John Smith, Emily Barker, Hey Negrita, McDermott’s 2 Hours, The Blue Blokes 3, Ruth Notman and The Wallbirds. Along with the pre-programmed music, there's a beer tent with open mic space, artist lunchtime and impromptu sessions, a ceilidh, a market place, a children's area and more throughout the weekend.
Full priced tickets are priced as follows: adult £65; children 5-15 yrs £20; camping pass (per tent) £5.
