Saturday was fancy dress day and the cow-boys and the cow-girls, and the chiefs and the squaws, let forth a mighty yeehaw and partied the day away. Busier than the previous day the site felt almost at capacity at times as the crowds warmed up for the evening procession and record breaking attempt at the biggest ever fancy dress party (now confirmed by Guiness).

At 6.00pm ‘festival’ became ‘carnival’ for a while as the colourfully attired crowds gathered at the Bollywood Bar before processing down through the site to the mainstage to be entertained by The Cuban Brothers – the perfect act for the occasion and a good chuckle-inducing latino mash up!

Next up, Soulwax had the job of maintaining momentum - speaking in the festival daily newspaper, the Belgian brothers promised to rock it up as this was to be the last Soulwax outing for some time as they concentrate on their 2manydjs incarnation, and they made good on that promise. The only downside was for the the following act, Royksopp, who despite being surprisingly lively still seemed just a little too chilled for these ears so in search of bouncier beats we caught up with X-Press 2 in the Big Top.

It’s at this stage in the evening that we must leave this Saturday review as the reviewer got rather wasted but rest assured a good time was had dancing badly and nattering to friendly revellers.....!
