BASS (British Art and Street Sounds) Festival, the UK celebration of Black music and art, returns to various venues in Birmingham, in the Midlands.

This year, BASS festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with a series of special events in the city of Birmingham and beyond in October 2015.

Theme

Its theme this year is Icons; shining a spotlight on black music legends, past and present.

Bass 15 will celebrate ten years of legends and icons of black music with ten specifically curated new events. Additionally, for the first time in ten years, BASS will host events outside of the city of Birmingham, and will also run alongside the UK's Black History Month (October).
