Started in 2007 Balaton Sound Festival is one of Europe's largest open air electronic music festivals held on a Hungarian beach, Zamárdi, along the shore of Lake Balaton usually starting on the second Thursday of July. It features live acts and DJ's from all around the world, from established artists to new names, and is run by the organizers of Sziget Festival.
