The 5th Are You Listening? Festival happens on Saturday 22nd April 2017 across Reading town centre venues.

Line-up

Confirmed acts include:- The Big Moon, Flamingods, Kagoule, Tusks, Animal House, Huw Stephens, John Kennedy, Matt Maltese, Ollie Teeba (The Herbaliser), Sham, Area 52, Big Zero, Quiet Quiet Band, Saltwater Sun, Tiny Giant and more, with more to be announced.

Tickets are priced at £18.50 plus booking fee. Under 18 (aged 14- 17 years) tickets are priced at £13.50.

One wristband allows entry to all venues, subject to capacity

This years venues include Milk, Oakford Social Club, Public, Purple Turtle, Rising Sun Arts Centre, St Laurence Church, South Street Arts Centre, Sub89.

Apart from raising awareness and funds for the charity, the festival continues to support the local music scene from the grass roots level upwards. It is a policy of the festival to ensure at least 70% of the artist bookings are from Reading and the Berkshire area.

It will also continue to provide Reading students and the local community with valuable, hands on working experience in areas including music event/ project management, branding, marketing and photography.

Over 70 volunteers help Are You Listening Festival run smoothly, and the organisers would love to hear from anyone interested in getting involved this year!

Since the event launched in April 2013, it’s sold over 5,000 tickets and to date raised over £34,000 for Reading Mencap, a local charity that supports people with learning disabilities and their families.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
