Now actually called Orange Ashton Court Festival, it's a community festival with some international acts, and as many as 150 performers over the weekend.
The dates for 2006 are confirmed as Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July. Expect some big name acts along with some lesser known bands over 8 stages, marquees and big tops. As well as music there's a kid’s area, stalls selling food and crafts from around the world.
Some of the acts for this year are confirmed, with Simple Minds as the main headliners, and also with The Go! Team, Planet Pendulum, Dreadzone, Plan B, Blackbud and Nathan Fake. The full line-up details are expected to be announced at the end of June.
There's no camping on site and it's recommended that you contact Bristol's tourist information service for details of local campsites and B&B accomodation.
Note: it's likely that Clifton Suspension Bridge will be closed to pedestrians during the festival.
