Applefest is an annual family-friendly event taking place over two days at Middle Farm, near Lewes - also holding the National Collection of Cider & Perry from 20th - 21st October, (the 21st also being International Apple Day). The festival is open from 10am until 5pm each day.

Music includes the sounds of Country, Ska, Folk, Gypsy, and Django Reinhardt. This year's line-up is as follows:
Carnival Collective; The Trucks; The Mountain Firework Co.; Curst Sons; Barulho; Django Spears; The Hot Club of Belleville; Gus Devlin and the Resistance; and The Dawgs; plus DJ Shamblin Sexton.

Other attractions include a food fair, apple pressing demonstrations, a licensed bar, an Old Time Fair, Morris Dancers, and farm animals to meet.

Middle Farm is situated on the main A27 Lewes to Eastbourne road, between the villages of Firle and Selmeston. The nearest stations are Glynde (2 miles) or Lewes (5 miles). There's also a Community Bus service from Lewes Train Station which runs at 5 minutes past the hour, every hour - fare costs £1 return.
