The second of two December weekenders All Tomorrows Parties - Bowlie 2 will be held from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th December 2010 at Butlins Resort, Minehead, Somerset. ATP is a sponsorship free festival where the organisers and artists stay in the same accommodation as the fans.

Line-up

The event's curator will be Belle & Sebastian.

Joining them will be Julian Cope, The Vaselines, Frightened Rabbit, Field Music, Teenage Fanclub, Wild Beasts, St Etienne, Camera Obscura, The Go! Team, Isobel Campbell with Mark Lanegan, The New Pornographers, Silver Columns, Foals, Crystal Castles, Dean Wareham - Performing the music of Galaxie 500, Edwyn Collins, Steve Mason, The Zombies, Trembling Bells, and more. Tickets for Bowlie 2 are priced at £165 and a self catering room ticket is priced at £175.

Accommodation

Room Only accommodation offers either double, single or bunk beds with private bathroom and TV, but no kitchen facilities or lounge, more like a hotel room. Self Catering accommodation offers private bathroom, full kitchen facilities and separate lounge area with TV. Tickets are selling fast, and Room Only accommodation is available in 4, 5, and 6 berth rooms, and Self Catering accommodation is also available in 4, 6, and 7 berths.

Book Club

The book for discussion at Bowlie 2 will be announced in the run up to the event and ATP are have announced they will be joined by authors Bob Servant who will read from 'Delete This At Your Peril' and Stuart Murdoch from Belle & Sebastian who will read from his forthcoming debut 'The Celestial Cafe'. In Between Days

This will be the second of two festival weekends from ATP this December. The curators for the first weekend (3rd - 5th Dec) will be announced on the 9thApril. ATP will also be repeating last year's In Between Days event, which runs at Butlins between the two weekend festivals and features intimate performances from a range of bands. Details of In Between Days will also be announced on the 9th.

All tickets include a 3-day festival pass and 3 nights accommodation. Ticket includes performances starting from mid-afternoon, with around 40 acts set to play live across the weekend. There are four pubs and DJ sets through till late.

On site

Butlins Minehead looks out across a sandy beach. The site is equipped with a supermarket, newsagent, cash points and restaurants. Onsite facilities include an ATP programmed cinema, Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride - Ten-pin bowling and amusement arcade. Sports include Archery, Football, Basketball, Darts, Petanque, Fencing, Kwik Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Table Tennis, Outdoor Bowls and Crazy Golf.

Getting There by Road

Heading north the simplest route is to take the M5 to Taunton (Junction 25), then take the A358 and A39 to Minehead. Heading south on the M5, you can follow the signposts for the A39 from junction 24. Butlins Minehead Holiday Camp is just half a mile along the seafront road from Minehead town centre.

Getting There by Train

If travelling by train, the nearest main line station to Minehead is Taunton. A bus transfer service is operated by Southern National between Taunton Station and Minehead. This service is available at an additional cost. On Mondays to Saturdays, there's approximately an hourly service, with the last bus leaving Taunton Railway Station at 10:15 pm. On Sundays and Bank Holidays services run every 2 hours from 9:35 am - 9:35 pm. For general information call Southern National on 01823 272033.
