The Alcester Folk Festival will take place from 20th - 22nd June 2008. It is a well known Singers' festival and features workshops, singarounds and sessions plus performances from a wide variety artists.

Performers expected this year include the following artists: James Keelaghan, Quartz, Andy Casserley, Harvesters, Dave James, Ceri Davies, John Prentice, Fairfield, Tony Portlock, Alhambra, Pete Grassby, His Worship and the Pig, John Morris, Mike Agranoff, Sarah McQuaid, Shellback Chorus, Pete Castle, Les Sullivan, Anthony John Clarke, White Hart (Host Side), One Step beyond, Fylde Coast Cloggers, Carreglas, Witchmen, Crooked Steeple, Urban Gypies, Horwich Prize Medal, Mersey Morris Sword, Coventry Mummers, Moses and the Ref, Ian Nicholls, Susan Raven, Gilly Kemp, Ian Smith, GU4, Peter and Barbara Snape, Trim Rigg and a Doxy, Colin Pitts, Speake and Lowe, Laners, and Barrel O' Baddies.

Look forward to a BIG SING at the Fire Station, and apparently, fabulous acoustics in the rotunda at Greig Hall.

Tickets are priced at £45 for a weekend ticket before the 1st June and for £50 after that. Concessions (OAP, student, benefits etc) for the weekend are priced at £30. Day tickets are also priced at £30. Evening tickets are priced at £15. Camping costs £6 and is only available to weekend ticket holders. Tickets are available by completing the PDF available here. Day tickets available at the Grieg Centre on the day.

Campers can stay until Monday at no extra charge.
