2015 sees African Drum Village Festival re-open its festival door in a new location in the heart of Scotland set in 100 acres of outstanding beauty in the valley of Strathmore, Perthshire, at the Belmont Scottish Outdoor Education Center.

African musicians will come together again to teach and perform at the only African music, arts and dance festival in Scotland from Thursday 6th until Sunday 9th August 2015.

Line-up

The first guests and teachers confirmed are Seckou Keita, Iya Sako, Mocolou Sawane, Chartwell Dutiro, Jally Kebba Suso, Sura Susso: Kora & Song, Suntou Susso, Awa Goudiaby, Bruce Ncube, and Kakasitsi.

With drumming teachers offering classes for total beginners right up to those looking for advanced techniques. There will also be new classes in solo drumming plus instrument tuition including m'bira, balafon and kora, and traditional song and dance from various parts of Africa.

In the evening there will be performances. Other events include drum circles, storytelling, and arts and crafts activities. There's obviously a very scenic camp site and decorated African village, luxury toilets and hot showers.

Tickets are available priced at £200 all inclusive whether camping, camper-van or standard bunks.Children aged 5-16 years £50 all inclusive, must be accommodated with parent or guardian. Under 5 free, All Adult tickets are subject to a £5 paypal charge.

Ticket prices include your choice of accommodation, all meals provided including tea, coffee, squash. Bedding provided for bunk option, plus all workshops and evening entertainment.

Accommodation

There are various methods of accommodation available - newly refurbished bunkhouses with plenty of showers and proper loos and bedding provided. Campervan or camping in an open flat easy access field close to plenty of proper showers and toilets. There will also be a very limited premium offer of single rooms with en-suite (first come basis)
