last updated : Tue 10th Jul 07 The Abertillery Blues Festival returns, now in its third year, presenting 3 nights of local, national and international blues music. This year's programme is as follows: Thursday, 12th July from 7pm – 11pm at The Met, Abertillery, NP13 1AL. Jim Diamond and Snake Davies; Blue Traffic; Crosscut Saw; and J44. Tickets: £5. Friday, 13th July from 7pm - 11pm at Abertillery Park. The Blues Band; The Animals; The Yard Birds; and The Revelators. Tickets: £15. Saturday, 14th July from 3pm - 11pm at Abertillery Park. John Hammond; Michael Roach Band; Taste; Paul Lamb and the Kingsnakes; Dave Arcari; and Stone Fox. Tickets: £30. Performances on Friday and Saturday take place in a marquee in Abertillery Park, standing room only. Car parking For The Met, Abertillery: There is a multi storey car park near the Met, for the Thursday 12th July Welsh Blues Night, a 2 minute walk from the venue. For Abertillery Park: A park and ride system is in operation for the Friday and Saturday events for the Abertillery Park site. Follow the yellow Abertillery Car Park signs when you come near to Abertillery traffic lights.
